Who We Are
Our History
Our Team
Peter Nudi, Sr.
Founder, President, and CEO
Peter started his career with his own office supply and printing business in the early 1970s. He developed excellent relationships with his clients, including a doctor who persuaded him to leave his business for the relatively new world of vitamins and supplements. In 1974, he entered the industry as a regional sales representative for NutriDyn, nutrition-based supplements.
Peter and his wife Kathleen founded Nutritional Specialties, Inc in 1978 and quickly became the largest distributor for Seroyal Branads based in Concord CA., and Reckeweg Homeopathics of Germany. NSI left Seroyal Brands after it was sold to ICN Pharmaceuticals in 1990. That was when they created the Professional Health Products, PHP, brand.
Peter was motivated by the desire to formulate and produce high-quality supplements for the doctors and healthcare practitioners he had partnered with for the last 15 years. NSI has always been positioned for growth and innovation. That’s why NSI was one of the first companies to import and offer New Zealand glands and tissues. Peter guided the expansion of PHP from a handful of products sold in the United States, to nearly 400 with additional sales in Canada, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Korea, and more.
In constant pursuit of wanting to help others, the MethylGenetic Nutrition® line of products was created, allowing genetics/epigenetics to play an important role in your patient’s precise nutritional needs. With more than 70 products, MethylGenetic Nutrition® is the most comprehensive line of genetic/epigenetic formulas on the market.
In 2018, Peter and Kathy purchased the manufacturer of their supplements, Randal Optimal Nutrients, Inc., With Peter’s guidance, NSI and RON will continue to grow and drive cutting-edge nutritional innovation that make a difference in peoples’ lives.
